Hi.

Music makes me happy

About Yours Truly

About Yours Truly

I’m likely not too different than you; a die hard fan of the most beautiful and complex rock and roll band in the land.

The Grateful Dead haven’t stopped playing the soundtrack of my life since I first hopped on that colorful bus in 1978, as I graduated high school and headed to college in upstate New York. It’s been a calliope of sound, a circus, a symphony.

I’ve danced in the patchwork quilt of twirling, smiling deadheads, stood with you all, eyes closed, happily floating in the space of dreams, as well as tiptoed down some dark hallways. I’ve reached down to pull you up, and I’ve been graciously and lovingly pulled up from some dark places myself.

As an older (I prefer the term “pickled”) Deadhead who loves to write, I’ve been dreaming about creating a colorful container to capture some of the fun memories, current adventures, and related beauty that is all part of our scene. Please contact me if you’d like to share photos, written pieces, or collaborate on a project.

I live in the amazingly beautiful Pacific Northwest since 2008, when I moved from the Hudson Valley of New York. I love all my friends on the East Coast, but I’ve always been a West Coast girl at heart. It took me a while, but I finally found my people, my tribe, and my true love (not a deadhead!).

I’m the mom of a human adult child and a 19 year old polydactyl cat.

Professionally, I’m a do-gooder in a difficult field that reminds me on an hourly basis just how fragile life is, and what a stupendous gift we have been given. Just like you, I have some intense life circumstances that frequently challenge my serenity, but thankfully I always have the magic and the soundscape of the Grateful Dead to balance out the tough stuff.

I’m a psychedelic cheerleader, and I’m here to remind you that the joy is truly in the journey.
